Amy Chris Wins Employee Award

BC Ambulance Service Paramedic Amy Chris of Hosmer, B.C. received one of four provincial awards presented annually as part of the BCAS Employee Recognition program. Chief Operating Officer Les Fisher praised her as "a unanimous choice" for the Tony Sunderland Memorial Plaque of Pride.

Good Samaritans Recognized for Actions

June 10
On June 10, BCAS paramedics Allan Maciak and Dave Carlson presented Good Samaritan awards to the Ladner Leisure Center Lifeguards and a bystander, Matt Pomeroy, for their actions in rescuing a young patient who was found unconscious and unresponsive on the bottom of the swimming pool.
