Recognizing Long-standing Service and Commitment

October 30, 2009

Over 250 BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) paramedics, dispatchers and administrative staff reached an important milestone in their public service careers this October, when they were recognized for their years of outstanding of service during the Government Long Service Awards.

Honouring individuals who have 25, 30 or 35 years of service with the Emergency and Health Services Commission or the Provincial Government, the annual ceremony was an opportunity to formally acknowledge staff for their hard work and dedication and to publicly applaud them for their long-standing commitment to the emergency medical services profession.

The deserving individuals received their awards during a special ceremony at BC's historic Government House in Victoria, BC, during which they were acknowledged for their commitment to their professions and praised for choosing a life in service of others.
