Fourteen BCAS employees were honoured on November 27, 2008 by Canada's Office of the Governor General and presented with the National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Exemplary Service Medal by the Honourable Steven L. Point, the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.
"These employees were recognized because of their extraordinary compassion, unsurpassed dedication to the profession and selfless service provided to British Columbians," said Health Services Minister George Abbott. "This high standard performance comes through years of experience, hard work and personal dedication."
