On March 20, BC Ambulance Service Superintendent Jason Twells recognized two hockey players with Vital Link Medals and six Strathcona Gardens Recreation Center staff with Good Samaritan Awards for their roles in saving the life of John Adams, who went into cardiac arrest while playing hockey at the Campbell River recreation centre.
