On May 30, 2007, Jonn and Sokolowski both members of the Water Street Trekkers group, were completing the upper Greenway hike in Kelowna when tragedy struck. One of their fellow hikers, Rita Johnson collapsed. Fortunately, Jonn and Sokolwoski were nearby and immediately assessed that Johnson required Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The pair initiated chest compressions until the BC Ambulance Service paramedics arrived.
