A thank you letter from a patient to the paramedics who assisted him.
Gentlemen:
On Wednesday, Feb 27 at about 21:10 my wife called 911 as I was having (what turned out to be a double) heart attack. Very quickly fire service and two ambulances arrived at my home and the crew of one of your ambulances took control of the situation. After assessing the severity of my condition they quickly removed me from my home and, by-passing Lion's Gate Hospital (nearest), they took me directly to St. Pauls's Hopital where they had CCU staff awaiting my arrival at Emergency. At 22:20 I had the first of my angioplasties in St. Pauls's Cath Lab.
The next day I was advised by a number of cardiologists and other staff in CCU that I owed my life or, at very least, my very minor heart damage to the correct assessment and response of your Paramedics.
While your people may consider this incident as "just doing their job", for me it is much more personal. I would very much like to meet with and thank these Paramedics. Please give me this opportunity.
Regards,
Ross Andrews
