April 30, 2009
On April 30, the Richmond Chamber of Commerce 911 Awards were held at the River Rock Hotel and Casino. Established in 2003 to publicly recognize those who provide 911 services to the citizens of Richmond, the ceremony and banquet honours individuals for their dedication, courage and the significant contributions they make to the community.
This year, six BCAS employees were nominated by their peers to receive an award. Congratulations to the following BC Ambulance Service Award Recipients:
Ambulance Crew of the Year
Paramedics Allan Maciak and Alex Mattes
BC Ambulance Service - Career Achievement Award
Superintendent Tim Philley, Lower Mainland Region
All BCAS nominees are to be commended for being recommended for these prestigious awards. Congratulations also to our fellow nominees and recipients at Public Safety Agencies, supporting businesses and community volunteer groups.
