On May 29 - 31, BCAS participated in the 7th Annual Constable Jimmy Ng Memorial Ball Hockey Tournament, a fundraiser in honour of RCMP Constable Ng who was tragically killed in the line of duty by a street racer on September 15, 2002. Held at the Steveston Community Centre lacrosse box, all proceeds from this year's event went to the Jimmy Ng Bursary and Scholarship Fund, the RCMP Youth Programs, the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and Richmond community organizations.
Every year, a Richmond-based paramedic has provided onsite medical response coverage to the participants and spectators during the weekend dates of the event. This year, the onsite medical response was provided by BCAS paramedic Roger Mah, BCAS Station 250.
