BC Ambulance Service paramedics are consistently demonstrating that they are among the best in the world. This April, Advanced Care Paramedics Kathy Pascuzzo, Jade Munro, Kathryn Harms and team manager Clarke McGuire (Team BC) earned the gold medal at the Canadian National Paramedic Competition in Oshawa, Ontario.
In May 2009, the BCAS team, which was the first all female team of paramedics to represent the BCAS in a national competition, will have a chance to showcase their skills at an International level during an EMS Competition and Conference in Rejviz Rally, Czech Republic. Including national teams from throughout the Czech Republic, as well as international competitors the event is expected to attract competitors from Argentina, Austria, Greece, Hungary, Japan, Belgium, Denmark, Croatia, Nepal, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, USA, and Turkey.
