BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) Steve Williams has supported the BC Children's Hospital's (BCCH) Jeans Day for eight years. This year, with the help of his fellow BCAS EMDs and friends, he successfully raised nearly $1,000 by selling Jeans Day lapel pins and buttons. The proceeds from the Jeans Day initiative go directly to BC Children's Hospital to purchase urgently needed equipment, to fund research in childhood illnesses such as cancer and diabetes, and fund special projects for public education.
