Paramedics Participate in Kid's Safe Day

August 14, 2008

On July 27, 2008 BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) staffed a public education display at the City of Richmond Kid's Safe Day. Held at the South Arm Community Centre, this popular event is the largest one-day safety fair focusing on children's safety issues in BC.

Previously sponsored by the Richmond Automall, where it was known as Kidsake Day, this year's fair was sponsored by the City of Richmond, hence the name and venue change. Featuring dozens of displays from organizations concerned about children's safety, local emergency responders were well represented at the annual fair with displays from BCAS, the RCMP, the Richmond Fire Rescue, and the BC Sheriff's Service. Staffing the BCAS display were Jeff Moorhouse (Station 247), Elizabeth Grant (Station 283) and Roger Mah (Station 250).
