This July, BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) helped provide emergency medical support services during the first Pemberton Music Festival, a three day event held north of Whistler, BC. Michael Sanderson, BCAS Executive Director for the Lower Mainland Region, remarked that the work and planning leading up to and during the festival was superb.
Staff from the BCAS Special Operations team, local ambulance stations, Lower Mainland Dispatch/Communications Centre, Regional Management team and Provincial Air Ambulance programs, all worked flawlessly with the event promoter to ensure a safe and healthy venue for the over 40,000 party goers.
