May 11, 2008
On May 11, 2008, ten BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) employees managed an Emergency Preparedness display at the Vernon Recreation complex. The purpose of the display was to inform residents of Vernon and the surrounding areas of the emergency services available to the community and provide tips on how to ensure that they are prepared in the case of an emergency event. During the event, BCAS also distributed the Vial of Life, a plastic vial that contains important information on an individual's health and/or medication.
