August 21, 2008

On August 3rd ITT paramedic Bob Noble successfully defended his title in the over 40 Masters category at the Modern Pentathlon Canadian Championships in Guelph, Ontario. Now he has set his sights on a World Championship. Bob is travelling to Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine to compete in the 10th Annual Masters World Championships September 10-14.

Modern Pentathlon is one of the oldest sports in the Modern Olympic Games. The founder of the Games, Baron Pierre de Coubertin introduced Modern Pentathlon in the 1912 Stockholm Games to highlight the all round athlete. The events included in the modern pentathlon are shooting, swimming, running, fencing and equestrian riding.

Bob is currently raising funds to attend the world championships. If you would like to support Bob email him at: BNOBLE@BCAS.HNET.BC.CA
