Full-time Opportunities
Full-time Emergency Medical Call Takers (EMCTs) and Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMDs) are assigned a shift pattern described in the BC Ambulance Service Collective Agreement [PDF - 525KB]. *Note: This refers to Schedule A in the Collective Agreement, which begins on page 97. BC Ambulance Service (BCAS) accepts applications for full-time EMCTs and EMDs in the Lower Mainland Dispatch/Communications Centre on an ongoing basis.
Part-time Opportunities
Part-time EMCTs and EMDs are required to be available for a minimum of 8 shifts per month (where a shift is normally 12.5 hours) and there is no minimum number of hours guaranteed. BCAS accepts applications on an on-going basis for part-time EMCTs and EMDs in the Vancouver Island and Interior/Northern Dispatch/Communications Centres.
